There are three major methods of printing: flat printer, rotary and cylinder. Flatbed printer is a brand new digital product on the market. We always called it digital flatbed printer. The flat method is most common, with the other (rotary and cylinder) methods being used for specialty purposes.
On automatic presses, as many as twelve hundred shirts can be printed in an hour. The most commonly used inks are plastisol – a type of plastic ink that is very opaque and has a vinyl like texture. These inks are heat set and have been around for about fifty years. Water based inks are preferred for greater penetration into the skirt and are somewhat less toxic.
A rotary printer is a printing press in which the images to be printed are curved around a cylinder. Printing can be done on large number of substrates, including paper, cardboard, and plastic. Substrates can be sheet feed or unwound on a continuous roll through the press to be printed and further modified if required

Screen printing is a printing technology which is widely used. So does the screen printer. Flatbed printing is a fashionable and advanced technology today.
Screen-printing has been around in a recognizable form since the Song Dynasty in China, and was used throughout Asia in conjunction with fabric painting and block prints.
The art came to Europe in the late eighteenth century, but it was a long time before it caught on. Once silk mesh became more available in Western countries, a profitable use for it was discovered. The first English screen-printing patent was filed in 1907, and was used as a method for printing high end wallpapers. For some time, screen printers in the West leaned toward keeping their techniques secret, so that they couldn’t be used by other printers.
The photosensitive properties of some chemicals when mixed with glues were discovered in the early 1910s. This revolutionized the commercial screen-printing world; by using bichromate photo imaged stencils, instead of hand drawn ones. However, it took a lot longer than you might think before this method became popular. These days, the same general type of photosensitive stencil is used, though the compounds available now are generally safer than bichromates. By 1928, a method of applying lacquer soluble stencil substances had been developed.
Screen-printing was soon adopted for art prints and for use on fabrics. Andy Warhol popularized screen-printing for artistic purposes in the 1960s. Because of his screens the multicolor rotary screen-printing machine was developed during this decade as well. It was originally used to print on bowling clothing, but t-shirt printing soon caught on, and became extremely popular.
Garment screen-printing still makes up more than half of the art’s use in the US. It is also used to make full color prints for any mass produced graphic, like a poster. It’s less expensive than high grade inkjet printing and can print on all kinds of media, so it’s also more popular than dye sublimation prints. Screen prints can be done on vinyl, canvas, fabric, paper, and many other materials with the right inks.

Cardboard boxes can be made in many different shapes and sizes. The most common shaped cardboard box is known as fefco code 0201. FEFCO is regarded as the international standard guide to cardboard box designs. FEFCO stands for Fédération Européenne des Fabricants de Carton Ondule which in English means Europeon Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers. Fefco was established in 1952 and represents the interests of the Europeon Corrugated Board Manufacturers. With its headquarters in Brussels, FEFCO has 24 active members, all Europeon national corrugated packaging organisations. The role of the federation is to investigate economic, financial, technical and marketing issues of interest to the corrugated packaging industry, to analyse all factors which may influence the industry and to promote and develop its image.
Fefco 02 styles are slotted type boxes. Slotted type boxes are one piece of cardboard glued, stitched or taped at the manufactures joint and top and bottom flaps. They are shipped flat and need the bottom taping before use.
Fefco code 0200 is a cardboard box that is open at the top with flaps at the bottom that can be sealed with packing tape to provide a bottom for storage. This fefco style can be brought along with fefco code 0422 for use as a lid.
Fefco code 0203 is the same as fefco code 0201 but with flaps that cover the base and top completely. This gives extra strength to the cardboard box when assembled.
Fefco 03 styles are telescope type boxes that consist of more than one piece and are characterised by a lid and bottom telescoping over the body of the box.
Fefco code 0301 combines a bottom tray and a matching lid. The 0301 is often used for packing shallow products.

Fefco 03 styles are telescope type boxes that consist of more than one piece and are characterised by a lid and bottom telescoping over the body of the box.
Fefco code 0301 combines a bottom tray and a matching lid. The 0301 is often used for packing shallow products.
Other 03 fefco styles include 0300, 0301, 0302, 0303, 0304, 0306, 0307, 0308, 0309, 0310, 0312, 0313, 0314, 0320, 0321, 0322, 0323, 0325, 0330, 0331, 0350, 0351, 0352.
Fefco 04 styles are folder type boxes and trays that normally are made from one piece of cardboard. The box is folded at the bottom to make two or all side walls and top. Handles, tabs etc are also added in some styles.
Fefco code 0411 is ideal for wrapping flat products and is often used for flat packed furniture.
Fefco code 0422 can be made up from flat without using tape. It has tabs which tuck into the bottom of the box but requires tooling for manufacture.
Fefco code 0427 has 3 sheets of cardboard on the side walls for added downward strength and durability.
Fefco code 0471 is very similar to 0427 but can be cheaper with large volumes do to a higher board utilisation percentage.
Other 04 fefco styles include 0400, 0401, 0402, 0403, 0404, 0405, 0406, 0409, 0410, 0411, 0412, 0413, 0415, 0416, 0420, 0421, 0422, 0423, 0424, 0425, 0426, 0427, 0428, 0429, 0430, 0431, 0432, 0433, 0434, 0435, 0436, 0437, 0440, 0441, 0442, 0443, 0444, 0445, 0446, 0447, 0448, 0449, 0450, 0451, 0452, 0453, 0454, 0455, 0456, 0457, 0458, 0459, 0460, 0470, 0471, 0472, 0473.

1. Download the pattern of the laptop cardboard stand panttern and print it out. Use an old sheet of paper that you were going to recycle so you don't waste a new sheet.
2. Cut it out, and trace it on the box. Stencil is the base and it is only half of it so you'll have to trace it onto the box, then flip it so it mirrors the outline you just made. You'll have to trace stencil twice as we need two of these. (click on the images to enlarge)
3. Cut out the patterns. If you have a box cutter or an utility knife, it'll be a lot easier, but if not, it can be done with scissors.
4. Put it all together. the flat side of part 1 goes against the table and you slide the slots of part 2 into part 1's slots.

Open the top of your cardboard box and cut off the top flaps with a utility knife. Discard or recycle the flaps; you don't need them.
Slice down through the right and left corners at the front of the box. It doesn't matter which side is the proper "front," just slice through the corners of the side facing you.
Turn the box backward so the bottom of the box is now the front. Again, slice down through the corners at the front of the box. Flatten the sliced box into a large T-shape.
Cut the flaps, or "arms," at the top of the T down to about 1 inch wide. Discard the excess cardboard.
Cut two 1/2-inch wide, 1/2-inch deep notches in the center of each 1-inch wide flap. Bend them upward so the notches point toward the ceiling.
Grip the cardboard stand at the bottom of the T and fold it backward into a triangle. Slip the edge of the bottom of the cardboard into the 1/2-inch notches. You should have an upright triangle shape with a flat, angled side facing toward you.
Glue two spring loaded clothespins to the top of the flat side facing toward you. These clothespins will hold your work, or a lightweight book, in place. Let the glue dry for about 10 minutes before use.

Use a ruler to connect these points on all three sides. Cut along these lines. You will have a shape with four triangular sides; one side will be open.
Set the shape on a table on one side. Measure 1 inch down one angled side from the top point. Mark this point. Measure 1 inch up from the bottom point on the same edge. Mark the corresponding points on the edges of the other side. Cut straight down toward the table from each of these points. Stop 1/2 inch from the bottom edge.
Connect the bottom of the two cuts you made. Cut the cardboard along this line. Do the same on the other side. This is your cardboard stand.
Spackle the edges of the cardboard so they are smooth. Allow the spackle to dry according to the directions. Paint the stand.
