UV inks are also compatible with a wider selection of media in comparison with solvent inks resulting in a more cost-effective range of choices. To further increase the turnaround time and lower overall cost, UV cured inks are durable enough to often eliminate the need for lamination.
Generally, the UV inks will last for 3 to 5 years in an outdoor setting. Because inks stay on the media surface and do not absorb into the media in the way that solvent inks do, print and color quality is more consistent from media to media.
