How to make cardboard stand

Measure 4 inches from the corner along one edge of the box. Mark this point with a pencil. Do the same with the other three edges on this corner.


Use a ruler to connect these points on all three sides. Cut along these lines. You will have a shape with four triangular sides; one side will be open.

Set the shape on a table on one side. Measure 1 inch down one angled side from the top point. Mark this point. Measure 1 inch up from the bottom point on the same edge. Mark the corresponding points on the edges of the other side. Cut straight down toward the table from each of these points. Stop 1/2 inch from the bottom edge.

Connect the bottom of the two cuts you made. Cut the cardboard along this line. Do the same on the other side. This is your cardboard stand.

Spackle the edges of the cardboard so they are smooth. Allow the spackle to dry according to the directions. Paint the stand.
